Patricks was founded seven years ago from humble beginnings in Bondi, Australia and has since grown into a multi-million dollar business. Through your ups and downs what was the impetus that kept you going in your journey? T here have been many hurdles along the way, it’s definitely not been an easy journey. We’ve been bullied by a multi-billion dollar corporation and had to involve Lawyers to protect our IP. I guess it’s flattering that they thought it was such a good idea. I always say ‘If it was easy everyone would do it’ so you have to expect challenges are going to happen and fight through them. I had big dreams for the future and a gut feeling I was going to get it done It has taken 9 years to become an overnight international success, it’s really hard to summarize everything I have gone through but it’s a story of perseverance, taking risks and settling for ­nothing less than perfect. It took us seven years to develop and launch our first product, because we were obsessed about every single detail, but I am so proud of what we have achieved. Doing all the small things better and in a considered way will make you stand out and will ensure longevity. It took many sleepless nights, lots of stress and even fighting with experienced, successful people for what I knew would work, but had never been done before.
