Dear Friend,
On behalf of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter, the Guts & Glory Gala, and
our Honorees, we welcome your support in becoming a partner in our
mission to raise critical funding and awareness for the Crohn’s & Colitis
Foundation. On Thursday, October 17th, we will be joining together at Sony
Pictures Entertainment to continue the fight for treatment, and ultimately,
cures for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). This year, we have the privilege
of honoring Dr. Stephan R. Targan and Sheila and Andy Garb. Dr. Targan is
the Director of the Cedars-Sinai Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology
Research Institute. He has been instrumental in the strides made in
treatment and care options for patients.
Sheila and Andy Garb have been long standing supporters and leadership
volunteers with the Foundation for over 40 years. With 1 out of every 100
people affected, chances are that someone in your inner circle, company,
neighborhood or even your family is touched by one of these diseases. You
have a unique opportunity to partner with the Greater Los Angeles Chapter
of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation to make a difference in the quality of
life for patients and their families suffering from these diseases. Enclosed is
a proposal that outlines levels of support and benefits that you and your
company will receive as sponsors of our event. More details about the event
are also enclosed.
In 2018, we held our inaugural Gala that raised over $730,000! Please help
us surpass last year’s fundraising efforts by becoming a sponsor at the Guts
and Glory Gala. Your investment will help further awareness of Crohn’s
disease and ulcerative colitis, and to raise funds to support critical research
programs, education and support programs, including Camp Oasis, our
summer camp for children 7-17 years of age who have IBD. Should you
have any questions or comments regarding this proposal, please do not
hesitate to contact our Development Director, Nichole Mendoza at
(646) 847-5140 or nmendoza@crohnscolitisfoundation.org.
Warm Regards,
Melissa Mitchell
