Cécile Menoni
Reflects on a Standout 2025 Edition
Just hours after the Monte-Carlo Television Festival wrapped up, we sat down with its executive director, Cécile Menoni, to reflect on the 2025 edition— an event full of premieres, fan encounters, and international energy.
“ It was a truly great edition, with a program rich in premieres and public events,” she shared. What stood out most for her was the connection between stars and their audiences:“ I’ m thrilled to see the public meeting their favorite actors and actresses … and to witness VIPs genuinely happy to meet them in return.”
Highlights included the screening of Mort sur Terre Battue starring Yannick Noah:“ The audience was delighted to discover him on screen instead of on a tennis court.” These moments capture the festival’ s strength— exclusive, accessible, and emotionally resonant.

Cécile Menoni also noted a clear evolution in programming:“ We’ re focused on offering both exclusive and popular content, balancing French and International productions.” She added,“ We also want to spotlight European productions through the competition,” citing strong entries from Germany, Israel, France, and beyond.
Her personal highlight? The encounter with actress Judith Light:“ She was exceptional— warm, kind, and part of my childhood. I watched Who ' s the Boss? with my mom growing up.”
A rich, human edition that continues to affirm Monte-Carlo’ s place as a global hub for television.
