In celebration of the Temptations ’ 60th anniversary , The Temptations released a new album , Temptations 60 , on January 28 , 2022 . The album was executive produced by the group ’ s founder Dr . Otis Williams , and consists of nearly all-original songs , which are both modern and classic in sound and feel . In addition to tracks produced by the Temptation members , the album reunites the iconic group once again with some of its treasured producers , including the award-winning and legendary Smokey Robinson , and Narada Michael Walden .
Upon the album ’ s release , Dr . Otis Williams said , “ Our new album carries with it our legacy , our love of music and our hope that through our music we can uplift and bring people together . Most of all we want fans to enjoy it with family and friends around the world . It ’ s a thank you gift from our hearts to all of our fans , past , present and future .”
Dr . Williams also co-produced an updated version of the song “ Come On ,” which was the song that got the attention of Mr . Berry Gordy , and led Williams and his group to Motown in 1961 . The song features a special monologue about the group ’ s history .
Still lighting up concert stages across the globe , Dr . Otis Williams and The Temptations embarked on a national concert tour in 2022 that crisscrossed the United States , and they headlined concerts in Fall of 2022 in the United Kingdom , France , Germany , Belgium and the Netherlands as well .
Currently touring in the U . S throughout 2023 , The Temptations ’ popularity is ever-increasing and their presence in the world today has never been more vivid .
