Dalia, your fashion creation experience dates
back to your childhood when you had a home
economics teacher nearly fail you if you did
not complete a mandatory school blouse. I
love your plot twist, with you launching your
first fashion collection 10 years later. Talk
about a “How do you like me now?” moment.
Apparel is one of the most humbling industries.
I haven’t reached that “how do you like me
now” moment just yet, and selfishly I hope I
never do, because it has kept me hungry and
driven.

Touted as “the new IT girl of the red carpet”
by the Toronto Sun, we happen to agree. Just
one year after your first collection launch,
your brand was carried in 1500 retailers
nationwide. How did you achieve such an
impressive and sweeping feat?
I think a few things came into play. Number
one, I was young, passionate and fearless.
Number two, I had a stellar sales team. Finally,
timing is everything, and I came out with the
right product at the right time.
