You acquired a degree in Master Tailoring
and Fashion & Art, what prompted your
career move towards the tailoring and
fashion direction?
I have always had an artistic soul even as a
small child when my brother would be out
kicking a football I would be indoors
drawing and painting. The creativity this
instilled in me is something that has never
left me.
As time went on I developed an interest in
fashion and ultimately instructed tailoring.
You studied with some of the best in the
fashion industry, Giorgio Armani, Ermenegildo
Zegna, Ralph Lauren or Hugo Boss before
you launched out on your own as a couturier.
In what way did those internships shape
your skillset, and what long-term influence
did you take away?
A very point each of the houses are totally
different. With Armani, it was the possibility
to be creative and open-minded. At Zegna
it was very different, follow the rules and
make the client's exacting requirements
with the boundaries set out using only the
finest tailoring. At Ralph Lauren and Hugo
Boss, I had a good grounding on the business
side of retail.
