t has been stated that the unison
between art and design is part
of the DNA of the Visionnaire
brand, which brings us to the
Wunderkamer. Share a bit about the
concept behind the Wunderkamer
Visionnaire.
A
place of mystery and beauty, Wunderkammer is a
concept more than it is a physical space, one which
never fails to fascinate. From the Renaissance,
during which these “rooms of the wonder” proliferated,
to the 600’s, during Barocco, the Wunderkammer
achieved near mythic greatness and splendor. Today, this
concept continues to attract arts and wonders enthusiasts.
Currently, the Wunderkammer Visionnaire is featuring
an exposition by Enrico Versari. His pieces are profound
ascetic meditations, performed between the rising and
waning of the sun, in an atemporal dimension of darkness
and light. Bright bases veiled by pigment undergo an
almost alchemical treatment, wherein, degree by degree,
out of the blackness, illumination is revealed. Carved
into the pigment with an awl, Versari’s designs speak
magnificently of order and chaos.
