When I founded the studio I knew we had to stand out in a heavily saturated part
of the yacht industry in terms of design service offering and opportunity. Our
early concepts completely rethought exterior yacht design possibilities and interior layout in
our own inimitable style. Still to this day they continue to show a fresh approach and are of
very unique and varied in inspiration.
“Drawing is an international language. We draw for clients and they understand the idea.”
We start each new yacht design project by listening to the client’s requests. The client
is always King and Queen and it will always be their yacht design project. Listening
and translating a client’s vision for a successful project design execution is
crucial. Work can then start on the initial General Arrangement/
GA drawing in 2D. We sketch in front of clients and transfer
into 3D modelling once ideas are chosen for development. You
will always see wild and glorious concepts that are just not
feasible to make any realistic jump into engineering reality
but these can be great catalysts of ideas.
Finally we work with our 3D visual artists and
modellers to produce photo realistic images and
these help show a client their vision, the projects
overall design and its capabilities…. as they say
a picture is worth a thousand words.
As a designer you need credibility in
what you produce. I am a great
advocate of
“Concept first then
Design” and employ
that mantra with
every project we
undertake from
yachts to aviation,
electric vehicles to
industrial design,
branding and
identity design.
