1961 worn , the research finally fell into place and I found more images and even film footage of her wearing it . So far I have found that she wore it on three occasions – at an evening hosted by General Charles de Gaulle in honour of John F . Kennedy in Paris , at a dinner at Buckingham Palace hosted by Queen Elizabeth in London , and to the charity ball hosted by Princess Grace of Monaco ( Grace Kelly ) in Monte Carlo .
With the severe impact that Coronavirus has had on the Arts over the course of the year , many people have had to re-direct their career paths out of necessity , including myself . Whilst my work in costume has had to take a step back for the time being , I hope for and anticipate the reopening of productions very soon . A future aspiration in this field would be to design costumes for a film set in that world of mid-century couture . In the meantime I plan to continue my work in fashion history – researching pieces for brands , clients and collectors - which I love , and will hopefully lead to more Archive work .
